I'm really looking forward to continuing my Harvest story, I can see the story branching out and getting into some interesting things. I don't know exactly where it will go and I like it when stories seem to forge their own path. I'm also really digging the format of the book and hope to add some really experimental content next few times around

The Great Jorge Zaffino

One of my favorite artists. The closer I look, the more of his work I see,the more impressive his work becomes. His art had a sense of power that very few artists have achieved. He and a few of the Italian comic masters have really made me pick up the nib again. Pick up IDW's awesome reprint of Winterworld to see Zaffino in his pure black and white glory. I was really fortunate to get these wonderful original recently, the images are from my own scans of the actual art.

I wish I had time to do a longer more thoughtful write up, but Zaffino was like no other and is an influence and inspiration to some of the best comic artists out there. His work is definitely best viewed in the raw black and white form.

well the announcement was nice and i'm still pretty excited to see what they'll do but i'm definitely not seeing the amazing capcom take on the look of the marvel universe, i wanted the high-def marvel vs. version of third strike basically. Capcom is going a different direction, so in mourning i had to did a phoney-baloney capcom drawing.

Ghibli TMNT

I finally went to the ghibli museum, for the first time not too long ago and saw an amazing short about sumo wrestling mice. the cute little blue mice had red waistbands and something about their look totally reminded me of tmnt

I'm working on a lot more comic stuff lately, not tmnt original creator owned stuff. It may be awhile before I can show anything but I'll try and post stuff asap. I'm also thinking of ways to promote the new books. Maybe doing some digital posters that folks will download pass around or wallpapers maybe giving away some original art....i don't know

converting the file from riff to tiff really did something to the colors and values, i tried to adjust it as best as i could but something got lost

i've been seeing a lot of oekaki lately and still don't quite get all that it entails but it seems similar to the colors! program that let me paint on my ds. i want to try the oekaki sometimes but they all involve signing up. anyhow i thought i'd try and do little snapshot doodles everday to warm up for work, the best oekaki I have seen seem to have that feel of loose snapshots, this one is not very loose though

"the all" : he is so huge he can only be partially captured and with great effort to do just that. The image was taken with what is currently the most powerful telescope in existence, shielded by the darkest and largest sunglass lens ever created in order to block out the incredible light emitted from the eyes, which when opened fully have been known to completely fry several galaxies.
