Transformers Prime 216

Hasbro shared a teaser for upcoming episode 216, a scene I worked on

they changed the layout so wheeljack and miko are on the same plane, i like what they did 

paper/digital hybrid

need to start doing some comics again, i'd rather not go completely digital, and not having my scanner here in ny, and wanting a better scanner, well I need a work around. I'm thinking of shooting my art with a camera and digitally coloring on top, like the the paper showing through the color. this was taken just with my old 3gs but I have a lumix g3 and I think I'll give that a go. I like having original art, and this method maybe a way to get my sketchier ink style incorporated into my comic work. lot to test out

here's a few panels from when I was boarding on Transformers Prime, most of my boards were way looser then this but II did like doing the shading thing pretty often

tmnt blackwing

went to a cool, blackwing pencil exhibit at the art directors guild in Manhattan, it was very close to work. it showed how the legendary pencil was made and all the amazing artists who swore by the silky smooth drawing tool. It's Very silky smooth to draw with! don't really draw much with pencil anymore but I love the blackwing, wish i took a pic because it's a lovely looking tool.
i doodled this with the free pencil i received.

A dark fairy tale

a cool project i’ve been working on for awhile with Mark Andrew Smith….we’ll get back to it someday…really love going full color, most of the drawings are very very loose
